 Cross-metathesis and Ring-closing Reactions

The primary goal of XiMo’s technology is to provide olefin metathesis catalysts that achieve unparalleled reactivity and selectivity. Our proprietary molybdenum and tungsten complexes have predictable and controllable activities that enable highly stereoselective synthetic transformations such as Z-selective cross-metathesis and macrocyclic ring-closing metathesis as well as the enantioselective variants of such reactions.

XiMo was founded in 2010 by MIT Professor Richard Schrock and Boston College Professor Amir Hoveyda, along with a small group of other investors and co-founders.
